i was just reading my notes from paper 4 and noted that 4 million tourist come to Cambridge every year.
that’s an average of 10,959 tourist a day!
and now you know why cycling along trinity street and king’s parade is so hard.
also, the population of Cambridge city is only 120,000.
that makes the number of tourist 33 times (or so) more than the actual inhabitants of Cambridge.
and out of that 120,00 already 25,000 are students who are only here for approximately 24 weeks a year.
which explains why during ‘non-term’ time, the city is dead-ed (with the exception of the hoards of tourist of which 10,959 still come each day!)
ok, enough random facts.
this is just way too much excitement for one day.
wait, one last thing which i BET you are all dying to know.
Cambridge used to be called Camboritum/Grantacaester/Grantabrycge/Cantebruge/Caumbrigg/Cambrigge.
and, no there are no typos in the names.
phew.
let me now get back to my uber interesting notes about land, environment and structural change.
Haha because lu boh lang hor Comment ;p Goodnight Chieng.
